Meet NICOLE RADEMACHER, ATR

You’re already stronger than you think you are.

Registered Art Therapist Nicole Rademacher, dressed in a light pink top and yellow pants, sits on a couch with her legs crossed, hands slightly clasped, creating an engaging and welcoming atmosphere in her art therapy studio.

Explore your past, understand your present, create your future.

You’re in the right place.

I welcome you here.

Are you struggling to understand your emotions or profound emptiness? Perhaps you feel trapped by a nagging feeling of being “broken” or an “outsider,” like a stranger in your own skin.

I will meet you where you are now. Together, we will uncover and release the patterns and beliefs hindering your progress toward the fulfilling life you truly deserve.

My style

I am warm and inclusive, inviting you to be creative in doing the deep work.

Your desire to experience personal well-being, gain clarity, and enhance your relationships is paramount to me. Through a creative approach to therapy, we will delve into your present circumstances and past experiences, aiming to understand how they have shaped your behaviors, emotions, and thoughts, and empowering you.

I am committed to working with communities that are often marginalized, such as BIPOC, queer, disabled, female-identifying, gender non-conforming, and the adoptee community. You are welcome in my practice. I strive to be a good ally for those communities I do not identify with personally.

My guiding principles

Holistic Healing

As an adoptee and adoption-competent art therapist integrating somatic work, I believe in the power of holistic healing. My approach recognizes the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and emotions, and aims to address the whole person. By combining art therapy and somatic techniques, we can tap into the body's wisdom and facilitate deep healing on multiple levels.

Client-Centered

Your unique needs, goals, and preferences are at the heart of our therapeutic journey. I embrace a client-centered approach, honoring your autonomy and collaborating with you every step of the way. Together, we will co-create a treatment plan that integrates art therapy and somatic work, tailored to your specific needs. This personalized approach empowers you to actively engage in your healing process and facilitates meaningful growth and transformation.

Trauma-Informed

Guided by my own lived experience as an adoptee and a comprehensive understanding of adoption-related trauma, I prioritize trauma-informed care in my practice. I create a safe and nurturing environment where you can explore your experiences without judgment or pressure. By integrating somatic techniques, we can effectively process and release stored trauma, enabling you to reclaim your sense of self and find healing from adoption-related wounds.
