Art therapy supervision is a dynamic process where you can take your skills to the next level, whether you need supervision hours as you work towards your ATR or want to get back on the creative track as a trained art therapist. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist and professional artist with an exhibition resume of over 25 years. I will work with you to:

Yes. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist. You can use all hours of supervision with me towards your required 100 hours of supervision for your ATR.

Supervision can be arranged as individual sessions (60 minutes) or group sessions (120 minutes) depending on your needs and preferences. We'll establish a regular meeting schedule that works for you, typically meeting biweekly or monthly. Between sessions, I'm available via email for brief consultations about urgent clinical matters.

Art-making can be a valuable component of supervision, offering insights about countertransference and case conceptualization that verbal processing alone might miss. While not required in every session, I may invite you to respond artistically to clinical material or use art to work through challenging cases. This experiential approach helps deepen your understanding of art therapy processes while enhancing your clinical skills.

While I welcome supervisees working with diverse populations, my specialized knowledge in identity integration, cultural dynamics, and adoption-related issues may be particularly valuable if you're working with clients navigating these areas. My background as both an artist and adoptee informs my understanding of how creative processes can address complex identity questions.
